2015/16 La Liga Season Preview – Top Four

La Liga 2015/16 Season Top Four Finish

The title race between Barcelona and Real Madrid will surely be exciting but strange as it may sound; many will be equally interested in the race for the next two spots on the table as well.

Leaving Barcelona and Real Madrid out of the equation, La Liga possess some of the finest teams in Europe such as Atletico Madrid, Valencia and Sevilla and the trio will all potentially be participating the Champions League this season.

Atletico Madrid (1.28 without Barcelona and Real Madrid at Bet365) were the team that gatecrashed the duopoly enjoyed by Real and Barcelona two seasons ago and while Diego Simeone’s brilliantly organized side may not be able to repeat such a feat this time around, they look odds on to finish in the third spot once again after spending heavily to bring in quality players such as Jackson Martinez, Stefan Savic and Filipe Luis to the Vicente Calderon this summer.

Following a couple of difficult campaigns, Valencia (7.00 without Barcelona and Real Madrid at Bet365) will finally be making a return to the Champions League and under the charismatic Nuno Espírito Santo, Los Che are surely becoming a force in Europe once again.

Backed by the millions of Peter Lim, even Valencia have spent heavily this summer by bringing in the likes of Mathew Ryan, Zakaria Bakkali, Joao Cancelo and Andre Gomes to the club and Espírito Santo’s men could well finish in the top four once again.

Sevilla (13.00 at Bet365) are another team which has been creating waves in Europe and despite missing out on the top four last season by a single point, the Andalusians were awarded with a place in the Champions League after claiming victory in the Europa League last season.

Unai Emery’s men have spent significantly less in comparison to the likes of Atletico and Valencia but having secured the services of quality stars such as Steven N’Zonzi, Evgen Konoplyanka, Mariano and Gael Kakuta among others, Sevilla are sure to put up a good showing in their attempt for a top four finish.
